Blog4Brains: Men vs Women in the ‘Fat Wars’

A factor that should be considered in the above article where men outdo women is in beer drinking. The beer belly -- first fat on and last fat to lose, if ever. "Tastes great, less filling!" and "Great anytime!" -- oh yeah?

I think when it comes to the battle of the bulge men and women would join forces. I have worked on losing weight with both men and women, and we always approached our efforts as a team, not as a competition against each other.

I agree Mike. The article was pointing out the differences in men and womens' attitude in regards to weight issues. I feel that the team approach is always the best way to go, and most productive, if for no other reason than to encourage each other.

Thanks for your comment and we hope to see you again on our site.

And Stan, you always come up with zingers. I have to agree that when it comes to beer, men would win hands down.

This is a real war we should be dealing with. Obesity is so common these days and we have to make a stand before every one is consumed by it.

"But once concluding that they need to lose weight, men more aggressively attack the problem and are more likely to stick to a plan." Spot on! :) This is reprezentative for me and my girlfriend:))
